Get It in Gear with Smoky Mountains Racetracks


When most people think of the Smoky Mountains, visions of snowcapped peaks, ski slopes, whitewater rafting and horseback riding come to mind. But when you've got a group of adventure seekers who have a need for speed, you'll want to hit some of the many racetracks in the area.

The Track in Pigeon Forge

The name says it all! But The Track is more than a mere go-cart track. It also offers a wide range of fun activities for the entire family. With several tracks to choose from, you can zip around a three-tiered wooden track that spirals three stories high. Or race the classic track as you swoosh over and under the overpasses.

Rather putt than cruise? Gator Golf will challenge you with creative and exciting obstacles including jungle animals, waterfalls and tunnels. For those who want to get wet and wild, hop into a bumper boat complete with water cannons! Bumper cars are also available. But the ultimate thrills come from bungee jumping or the Skyflyer - a skydiving simulator. The little ones are sure to enjoy a child-size working train, Red Baron plane, Ferris wheel and other rides.

Located in Pigeon Forge, The Track is open all year, including winter months, weather permitting.

Wild Wheels Speedway in Pigeon Forge

Try your skill on this official-style CAN-AM racetrack. The figure-8 course will test your talent for competition driving in a way like no other. For other thrills, try bungee jumping and bumper boats. Have younger children? They also offer a children's park and arcade. Open year round, including weekends during winter months, weather permitting.

Adventure Raceway in Pigeon Forge

Multi-tiered excitement is yours when you visit Adventure Raceway. Whether you opt for go-carts or bumper boats, you'll find heart-pumping fun. These are the only computerized go-carts in Pigeon Forge. Open March through November as well as select weekends during winter months.

Speedzone Fun Park in Pigeon Forge

With lightning-fast go-carts, you can choose from one of three courses to race. An arcade is also available on-site. Open year round, including weekends during winter months, weather permitting.

Pigeon Forge Super Speedway

First-time go-cart driver? No problem! The Pigeon Forge Super Speedway has beginner and intermediate tracks, so everybody can have fun. Zip around the curves and switchbacks for a truly thrilling ride. While you're there, try the SkyCoaster, bumper cars and the children's rides. There's fun for the whole family!

NASCAR Speed Park in Sevierville

Want to race like the pros? You can at the NASCAR Speed Park. The biggest track in the Smoky Mountains area offers seven amazing tracks. Race some of the most technologically advanced cars in the industry around Thunder Road, a two-and-a-half-mile track. Drive 1/2 scale versions of actual Nextel Cup cars around two short tracks or take on the thrill of the SlideWayz track. This highly polished indoor course is slick enough to give you an awesome ride every time.

There are tracks for all age groups and skill levels, so the whole family can have a blast! You'll also find speed bumper boats, mini-golf, an arcade and much more. Plus… don't tell anyone… but actual NASCAR drivers have been known to just stop by and sign autographs from time to time! It's one of the most popular racetracks in the Smokies.

Many racetracks offer discount tickets if purchased early, so call before you visit for the best savings.
